We discuss cybersecurity in smart properties – ACE CyberSafe at Fastighetsenergi 2025

The project group behind ACE CyberSafe, (representatives from Luleå University of Technology and Skellefteå Municipality), participated at Fastighetsenergi 2025, as invited by Installatörsföretagen to present our project and contribute to a panel discussion. During our session, we presented the project’s purpose and progress, focusing on how we are working to strengthen cybersecurity in digitalized and connected property systems. Through AI-based security solutions, system design that prioritizes security from the start, and tests in real properties, we want to contribute to safer and more resilient property management.

In the subsequent panel discussion, we discussed how digitally connected properties can best prevent and manage cyberattacks and IT incidents, and how new cybersecurity laws, directives, and regulations can contribute to increased crisis preparedness and operational reliability in the sector. We also reflected on whether the stricter requirements for risk analysis and incident management are sufficient to ensure physical security in our properties. It was an engaging and insightful conversation where we both got to share our perspectives and be inspired by other players in the industry.
